With this photograph, I intended to portray a certain kind of eeriness and mistery that are so poignant in Casares‘ novel. The fleeing characters, the permanent tension and the search for a clear identity in people are a permanent difficulty. I think this picture reflects that lack of identifiable faces or traits, putting us in a place of the main character.
