This piece of poetry is from the great Iranian poet, Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, known as Rumi. In this poem, referring to the three small components of the musical instrument, the poet asks himself how this amazing sound comes out of only a piece of wood, a string and a hollow skin.
